Grammar and spelling is rather important when you're running a forum. I know this is a sims forum, but when running a forum there should still be an air of professionalism. You can use a word processor program to check grammar and spelling, or if you don't have a word processor program, use Google to search for one. I know there are free online versions available.
This is especially important when trying to entice new members. It is very off putting for someone to come to the forum and be greeted with a message that is difficult to understand. For example, when first visiting this site as an unregistered viewer, the only thing viewable is the banner, the welcome message beneath it, and the shoutbox. The welcome message has many run on sentences and lacks capitalization as necessary. It would look much more professional if those errors were fixed.
In case you really don't know what the errors are, which may be the case if English is not your first language:
The corrections are in red, and if the message were written as such, it would make the forum seem much more professional and may make guests take it a bit more serious. Additionally, there are various errors throughout the forum, including spelling errors in some board topics. Finally, when speaking of your board, you often spell it "bored," which means to make weary, repetitive or tedious (used as "I watched a movie, but I was bored throughout the entire thing.").
Anyway, I think if you fixed these things, you might see the success of the board pick up a bit.

Hello and welcome to Inspiring Sims. I hope you have a fun time here. At the moment we have so many things for you to enjoy, like our mini contests (one for picture taking and the other for decorating), so take a good look at the contest section. This forum is all about fun in a friendly environment. You can have fun with many things here--visit our creators section for great downloads for your game, check out the sims 2 info centre for great finds and, if you need any help, visit the sims 2 area to talk about the sims, see some fantastic pictures, or post some thing of your own. If you're not in the mood for the sims we have an off topic games area as well. I started this forum at the end of November 2008 with lots of ideas for how I wanted the forum to be. I've achieved many of my goals, but there is still lots being added to this forum on a regular basis. Please do keep up-to-date with everything that is going on by visiting as much as you can. Happy January and I wish you all an amazing, healthy, and enjoyable year!!!
